Our Pastor: Ronald L. Carthan Sr.
Elder Ronald L. Carthan, Sr. is a distinguished individual whose life has been profoundly influenced by his unwavering faith and strong family values. Born as the seventh of ten children, he had the privilege of being nurtured in a devout Christian household by his parents, the late Reverend George W. Carthan, Sr., and the esteemed Sarah Jane Margaret ("Margaret") Godbolt Carthan.
Elder Carthan embraced his faith at an early age at Greater Faith Tabernacle UHC in Bordentown, NJ, under the pastoral guidance of his father. During his youth, he actively participated in numerous capacities, demonstrating his dedication to the church and its mission.
In 2001, Elder Carthan was united in marriage to Denise Carthan, whose devotion to Christ serves as a tremendous support to the ministry. Together, they are blessed with a blended family of seven children and are proud grandparents and great-grandparents. Their shared commitment to their faith is reflected in their steadfast dedication to positively impacting the community through acts of love and service.
Vision for Creech Temple UHC:
Elder Carthan's heart for Creech Temple UHC is clear: to be a place where everyone, regardless of their past, can find hope and restoration. His watchword is that we continue to be a church where those who have fallen can rise again, knowing that God will complete the good work He has begun in them. He believes in the power of unity – one people, speaking with one voice, working towards one goal: building God's kingdom. His vision is to shine the light of Christ, transforming lives and empowering believers.
